When writing a query letter, keep it succinct. Don't mention how many publishers have rejected you-- in fact, don't mention other publishers at all. Don't indent paragraphs. Write it in the form of a business letter. Keep the writing formal. When you mention characters, put the name in CAPS LOCK. In some markets, mentioning your age might be a bad idea-- use your best judgment here. Stick to the topic. If you have any qualifications to write whatever ou're writing, mention them. If not, stay away from the topic. Say how long it is in double-spaced pages, word count and any other relevant format. Don't say anything whatsoever that denigrates your work. Good luck.
